What She Says Talk with Nina Malone
2nd WHAT SHE SAYS talk with Nina Malone. We recorded our 2nd talk for What She Says and spoke with talent agent & founder of https://dopeblackmums.co.uk/ , Nina Malone. We talked about how Dope Black Mums, a community group, podcast & digital safe space for black mothers came about, and why it is such a big source of support to herself and so many other black mums. As we went through Nina’s 6-question interview in more detail, we spoke about racism and hate crimes and why we’re still only at the beginning of having the uncomfortable but necessary conversations around it. We spoke about motherhood and the challenges black mums are facing raising their children. About why we have to face our own biases, and why us women are still struggling to trust our instincts, believe in ourselves and go for what we want. Oh and yes, Dope Black Mums has also a Podcast! Check it out!! https://dopeblackmums.co.uk/podcast

WHAT SHE SAYS talk with Dr. Brittany Bryant
Our 3rd WHAT SHE SAYS talk with @drbrittspeaks For our 3rd episode @jess.ridder spoke with clinician and adolescent substance use researcher, Dr Brittany Bryant. We talked about Britt's work as a clinician researcher and how important it is to break the stigma associated with various disorders and seeking help, and, to make integrated care accessible. As we went through Britt's 6-question interview in more detail, we had quite a personal talk about the benefits of therapy, dealing with grief and losing the people we love. We spoke about purpose, self doubts and insecurities, and why we should never let those stop us from pushing through with our passions and pursuing our dreams. And why we should keep doing exactly the things, we actually want to do, but are so fearful about. This talk was recorded just before Christmas, but it took me some time to edit it. I hope you enjoy it now! Britt has a youtube channel. Check it out! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCD1ljqQsupLGf3s76ErXWzA/featured
