1) THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?
For the first time ever in my adult life I was able to take a little over a month off work and vacation with my friends and family in West Africa in December and January. It felt like such a dream to end the decade and usher in a new one just relaxing in my favorite place in the world with some of my favorite people in the world. It feels even more special in light of covid to have made so many great travel memories to sustain me as I shelter in place this year!

2) THE WORST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?
Recently I had to make the difficult decision to transition out of doing a job I really enjoyed because the environment was not the most conducive to my growth. That felt really frustrating and like such a set back but a decision I knew I had to make for my own mental well-being. It was really hard to do it but I’m learning that every set back is an opportunity for a re-direction.

3) YOUR BIGGEST WISH FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?
I wish for my levels of confidence and self trust to increase.

4) YOUR BIGGEST WORRY FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?
I worry about the long term impacts of the corona virus on the work that I do advocating for good governance and progressive legislation.

5) A CONTEMPORARY WOMAN YOU CURRENTLY ADMIRE?
My mom! She’s a total rockstar and brilliant in both ideation and implementation.
