1) THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?
I finally got it, I am allowed to have fun with work! So I quit my secure, cozy 9-5 job, founded Female Music Force, Germany’s first agency for female DJ acts and am now doing what I am passionate about: Cheerleading great women to DJ for marvelous and grateful clients.

2) THE WORST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?
There are so many challenges when setting up a business. So my mind monsters - Mrs. Fear, Ms. Low Self-Esteem and Mr. Procrastination - started raising their voices quite a bit (gulp). That was horrible and a really rough start. But we have been working on our team spirit ever since, which has given us tools to face the new bumps like those brought to us by COVID-19.

3) YOUR BIGGEST WISH FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?
Put happiness into every day, every party we play and turn the numbers around in the process, from 10% to 50% of all DJs being female, so that in the near future we will have songs that reference a female DJ: Instead of „Hey, Mr. DJ.“ it will be „Hey, Mrs. DJ. Put your record on.“

4) YOUR BIGGEST WORRY FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?
My mom is sick. She has Alzheimers. We are losing her. My worry, how to cope with the grief.

So many, so I am listing wildly: Maya Angelou. J.K. Rowling. Lizzo. Arundhati Roy. Michelle Obama. Lupita Nyong’o. Beyonce. Madonna. Angela Merkel. Angelina Jolie. Malala Yousafzai. Brene Brown. Gina Rippon. Priya Parker. Hazel Gale. Liv Strömqvist. Joan Jett. Peggy Gou. Cornelia Funke. Simone Rafael. Alexandra Reinwarth. I could keep going… So I will end this list with my sister Mareike Chaney, such #bossbabe and my mom, such a #fighter.
