1) THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?
Bonding more with my friends - at a certain age you start to lose friends and family. I look at my group of friends as my family and we are ALWAYS there for each other no matter what. And... I always say I love you at the end of a phone call for one never knows how long you will be here.
2) THE WORST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?
I lost three friends this past year that I have know for over 40 years and we touched base every week for 40 years. Photo by Ron Cooper I miss hearing their voices, receiving their silly texts and emails that always made me smile.
3) YOUR BIGGEST WISH FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?
That people step up to the plate and be more pro-active and not so apathetic.
4) YOUR BIGGEST WORRY FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?
The only way to save your rights and the earth is to participate, stand up for yourself and do not expect others to do it for you. being self absorbed is being in denial and unbeliveably selfish.
5) A CONTEMPORARY WOMAN YOU CURRENTLY ADMIRE?
I admire, especially women of a certain age, who embrace their age and their special inner beauty that shines through as if it was a beam of light coming out of them for all to see.
6) A ONE-SENTENCE MESSAGE TO OTHER WOMEN?
We are humans and not supposed to be perfect. It is from our mistakes that help us learn and grow. Don't let it shame you, learn from it.
THE WORLD HAS BEEN CHANGING DRAMATICALLY IN RECENT TIMES: 7) HOW ARE YOU COPING? Truthfully, I have my good days and bad days. Most of the people I talk to are going through the same thing and have made it ok to be that way and talk about it. Life, as we once knew it, has changed so dramatically that some days it's hard to wrap yourself around it. 8) WHICH CHANGE OR EVENT HAS AFFECTED YOU THE MOST / HAD THE BIGGEST IMPACT ON YOU PERSONALLY? I feel that covid has dramatically changed our lives. which in some ways was a good thing for it made me become more introspective and truly be grateful for all that I have and see that it can be taken away in a moment. 9) WHAT ARE YOU THE MOST CONCERNED ABOUT AT THIS TIME? That we could lose our rights as women is astonishing to me but more importantly that the Handmaiden's Tale could become a reality for younger women.
