1) THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?
Writing and self-publishing my collection of Poetry “little dark truths” Poetry is the great love of my life. Its what moves me and makes me who I am. I feel every little thing so deeply and have an amazing urgency to write about it. I believe in another life I was most likely a philosopher.

2) THE WORST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?
My Mom being diagnosed with cancer again. She was diagnosed 5 years ago with stage four colon cancer and luckily, she survived it, but now she is battling cancer again with chemo treatments and immune therapy.

3) YOUR BIGGEST WISH FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?
Oh, where to begin? I have so many wishes and desires but one of them is to publish another collection of poetry that is specifically designed for girls and women. I want it to be a guiding light to them in their lives, to help them through the struggles that we women go through that are most of the time ignored by the world. I want girls everywhere to know they are not alone in their feelings.

4) YOUR BIGGEST WORRY FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?
Worry is one thing that I cannot seem to escape lately with the pandemic, my mother’s cancer diagnosis, and the racial injustice in the world. But also, I worry for our planet and the rate it seems to be deteriorating. My souls desire is to help our planet in any way possible, by recycling, using a compile post, planting flowers and vegetables, buying sustainable products and making less waste altogether.

5) A CONTEMPORARY WOMAN YOU CURRENTLY ADMIRE?
Geena Davis! I recently listened to a podcast called “Unladylike” and Geena Davis was the guest speaker and during the podcast she talked about her roles in movies such as “Thelma & Louise” and “A league of their own” and she also discussed Geena Davis Institute which she founded. (Obviously) It is an institute dedicated to ending gender bias in the media. She spoke with great passion, intelligence and wit and I just fell in love with her.
