1) THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?

I was accepted into the 1000 Girls 1000 Futures Mentorship Program of the New York Academy of Science. This was a turning point in my life. It gave me an opportunity to network with so many passionate girls and women from across the globe. It truly made me a global citizen.

2) THE WORST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?

My best friend relocated to another country due to a sudden emergency. This was a shock for me. It was really hard for me to cope with final year of high school and so many other leadership roles in her absence. However, we have managed to stay in touch through virtual platforms but somehow it doesn’t make up for her physical presence.

3) YOUR BIGGEST WISH FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?

To take my e-magazine MindChamps to more and more readers and inspire more youngsters to open up about mental health. I also wish to expand the role of MindChamps to take up initiatives such as podcasts, webinars and student competitions in addition to just the magazine.

4) YOUR BIGGEST WORRY FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?

I have recently graduated from high school and my biggest worry is being unable to get into a good university. I'm also worried about the widening of the rich-poor divide and massive environmental degradation owing to the pandemic.

5) A CONTEMPORARY WOMAN YOU CURRENTLY ADMIRE?

Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand is a woman I look up to. She is a powerful stateswoman and at the same time a compassionate leader. Her terrific leadership has helped New Zealand overcome the pandemic.

6) A ONE-SENTENCE MESSAGE TO OTHER WOMEN?

It matters not, how much we own, The cars...the house...the cash. What matters is how we live and love And how we spend our dash.

A few more questions about the current situation (covid-19, lockdown, black lives matter protests, politics, finances, mental health, health, and so much more):

THE WORLD HAS BEEN CHANGING DRAMATICALLY IN RECENT MONTHS, HOW ARE YOU COPING?

WHICH CHANGE HAS AFFECTED YOU THE MOST / HAD THE BIGGEST IMPACT ON YOU PERSONALLY?

AND WHAT ARE YOU CONCERNED ABOUT THE MOST?

The past few months have been truly challenging. The pandemic and inhumane acts across the world have impacted me emotionally.

However I am really thankful to my wonderful family and best friends for being a constant source of support and encouragement. They motivate me to keep myself going and give my best to whatever I take up.

Books have also been amazing companions during these trying times.
