1) THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?
I grew a lot personally and professionally – my optioned screenplays that were on hold, are moving forward into production with talent attached. I also set up a private funding page to raise funds for a passion project, a script I wrote and also want to direct, a female lead psychological thriller that is 75% female lead cast. It is included in my links.
2) THE WORST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?
I felt burnt out. Lack of energy and often focus. The pandemic left me feeling mentally and physically exhausted from all the fear and anxiety about the future.
3) YOUR BIGGEST WISH FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?
More care given for mental health awareness, social and environmental causes. A shorter work week. Cure for ALL diseases. More human connection. For people to put aside their differences even if they agree to disagree - And be kind to each other.
4) YOUR BIGGEST WORRY FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?
That we will continue to be divided and that some will continue to use social media and the metaverse to further divide us.
5) A CONTEMPORARY WOMAN YOU CURRENTLY ADMIRE?
There is an army of women I admire. But mostly -- women who stand up for our rights, who march for social causes, who fight to find cures, who voice injustices, who push to hire women, who go to bat for other women, who support other women, who care about other women, who inspire other women, who pave the way for other women.
6) A ONE-SENTENCE MESSAGE TO OTHER WOMEN?
The goal is women supporting other women. So champion other women’s work and endeavors, support other women’s projects and voices in the arts.
