1) THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?

Worked for Taipei Biennale and two other jobs simultaneously, then moved to Berlin for a while and discovered I was depressed the whole time for the past year, thus decided to move to Berlin again asap to really be myself.

2) THE WORST THING THAT HAPPENED TO YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS?

Well, not to me but my home country, Taiwan. Politics in Taiwan has been in turmoil since the mayoral election in 2018 happened (or tbh since forever). The conservative party won the majority votes and has since put the nation in danger of losing democracy over the complex between China and the displease of our recent marriage equality legalization.

3) YOUR BIGGEST WISH FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?

Realizing all of my wishes ASAP!

.

4) YOUR BIGGEST WORRY FOR THE NEAR FUTURE?

1. The possibility of losing the 2020 presidential election to the conservative party, which will most definitely make the democratic island of Taiwan go up in flames.

2. Forgetting and being forgotten.

3. Worrying about forgetting and being forgotten.

5) A CONTEMPORARY WOMAN YOU CURRENTLY ADMIRE?

Darja Keller. She is an up-and-coming Swiss writer that I met while working in Berlin. She has the kind of spirit that lights people around her by illuminating her own light. I admire her for always standing up for herself, for justice, not afraid to speak the truth while facing discomfort in the situation, and of course, her beautiful writing.

6) A ONE-SENTENCE MESSAGE TO OTHER WOMEN?

You are shining so brightly!
